JUMP SHOP in Tokyo: the five stores and THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho compared, with opening hours, tax-free, the app, the nearest stations and which one to pick

JUMP SHOP is the official shop for Weekly Shonen Jump titles such as ONE PIECE, Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia, and no city on its store list has as many of them as Tokyo. They are not all alike. Two of the five carry the tax-free mark and three do not, opening times run from 10:00 to 11:00, closing times from 19:00 to 21:00, and a sixth shop in Jimbocho plays by its own rules, with entry booking on busy days and limits on how many of each item you can buy. This guide covers what JUMP SHOP is, all six shops side by side, which one suits your day, each store in turn with its station and its neighbours, the points app, how tax-free buying changes on 1 November 2026, and why you will not find one in Akihabara, Shinjuku or at Tokyo Tower. We took every fact from official pages, chiefly JUMP SHOP's own, those of the buildings the stores are in and Tokyo's official tourism site GO TOKYO, all read on Monday 19 October 2026. You will find each of them in the Sources list below.

In short

JUMP SHOP's own store list has five shops in Tokyo. Tokyo Dome City (Bunkyo) is beside the main entrance of Tokyo Dome City Attractions, near Suidobashi and Korakuen stations. Tokyo Station is on B1 of First Avenue Tokyo Station, in Tokyo Character Street, just outside the Yaesu-side ticket gates. Solamachi is on 4F of Tokyo Skytree Town, above Oshiage Station. Shibuya is on 6F of Shibuya PARCO, and Ikebukuro on B2F of Ikebukuro PARCO, which connects straight to Ikebukuro Station. A sixth shop, THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho, is on 4F of the Sanseido bookshop in Jimbocho. Only Tokyo Dome City and Tokyo Station carry the tax-free mark on JUMP SHOP's list. Ikebukuro opens at 11:00, Tokyo Dome City at 10:30 (10:00 at weekends), and the others at 10:00. Tokyo Dome City closes first, at 19:00. The official list has no JUMP SHOP in Akihabara, Shinjuku or at Tokyo Tower.

JUMP SHOP Tokyo at a glance

What is JUMP SHOP?

JUMP SHOP describes itself as an official licensed shop approved by Shueisha (集英社公認オフィシャルライセンスショップ), the publisher of Weekly Shonen Jump. Its own page builds the range around goods based on the original works of Jump titles such as Jujutsu Kaisen, ONE PIECE, My Hero Academia, SAKAMOTO DAYS and Ao no Hako (Blue Box), and lists what that covers: Shueisha's own goods based on the manga, anime goods, the comics themselves, clothing and even sweets. It also mentions shop-only goods and events.

Tokyo Dome City's English page for its store puts it the same way: "an official licensed store by Shueisha that primarily offers merchandise from popular 'Weekly Shonen Jump' series". The store pages of the buildings add their own examples. Tokyo Station's names DRAGON BALL beside ONE PIECE and My Hero Academia, and lists souvenir sweets, and Ikebukuro PARCO's names Kagurabachi and Ichi the Witch (魔男のイチ) among its titles.

  • 16JUMP SHOP stores across Japan on the official list
  • 5of them in Tokyo, more than any other city
  • 2Tokyo stores carry the tax-free mark

The other stores on the list are in Sapporo, Sendai, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka (Umeda, Shinsaibashi and Tennoji), Okayama, Hiroshima and Fukuoka, plus a limited-time shop at LaLaport Fukuoka. Yokohama's store, in Landmark Plaza, is the nearest one outside Tokyo and also carries the tax-free mark.

All six JUMP SHOP stores in Tokyo compared

The first five rows come from JUMP SHOP's own store list. THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho is not on that list, so its row comes from its own website. Hours marked "building" follow the shopping centre the store is in, and the New Year period can differ.

JUMP SHOP's list adds that Tokyo Dome City's hours vary by season. Tokyo Dome City's page for the store warns that the hours "may change without notice", so check them close to your visit.

Which JUMP SHOP to choose

All five stores on the list belong to the same chain, so the choice comes down to where you already are, the time of day and what else is on the same floor.

Pick a store by your day

  • Arriving or leaving by Shinkansen: Tokyo Station. It is just outside the Yaesu-side ticket gates, and Tokyo Character Street around it also has the ONE PIECE Mugiwara Store and DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO.
  • Tax-free shopping: Tokyo Dome City or Tokyo Station, the two Tokyo stores with the tax-free mark on JUMP SHOP's list.
  • Nintendo and Pokémon on the same trip: Shibuya, where Pokémon Center Shibuya and Nintendo TOKYO share a floor of Shibuya PARCO with JUMP SHOP.
  • A day at Tokyo Skytree: Solamachi, on 4F of the shopping centre at the foot of the tower.
  • Shopping after dinner: Solamachi, Shibuya or Ikebukuro, all open until 21:00. Tokyo Dome City closes at 19:00.
  • An early start: Tokyo Station, Solamachi, Shibuya or Jimbocho, all open at 10:00. Ikebukuro waits until 11:00.
  • A day out with rides: Tokyo Dome City, beside the entrance to its amusement park.
  • Stationery and art prints: THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho, with notebooks, reproduction artwork and goods made with long-loved Jimbocho shops.

JUMP SHOP Tokyo Dome City

By GO TOKYO's account, entering Tokyo Dome City costs nothing and only some of its facilities charge, so you can walk to the store without paying for the rides. Its English page for Tokyo Dome City Attractions puts the park a one-minute walk from Korakuen Station.

The tax-free page for Tokyo Dome City explains how tax-free buying works in its shops. There is no central tax-free counter. Each shop does the paperwork itself, which takes around 10 to 20 minutes, and only for goods bought in that same shop, so you cannot add up purchases from different shops to reach the minimum. Bring your passport. The page lists JUMP SHOP among the shops that offer it.

Tokyo Dome City's own page for international guests points visitors to JUMP SHOP for "character goods that are hugely popular abroad too" (海外でも大人気の各種キャラクターグッズ).

Stations and travel times for Tokyo Dome City

The store's page on the First Avenue Tokyo Station website names ONE PIECE, My Hero Academia and DRAGON BALL among its titles, with Shueisha's own goods based on the manga, limited items and souvenir sweets.

How to get to JUMP SHOP Tokyo Station

First Avenue Tokyo Station belongs to JR Tokyo Station but lies beyond its ticket gates, so you have to exit them to get in.

From the platform to the store

  • Head for the Yaesu side.First Avenue's access page says it is right outside the Yaesu Underground Central Exit gate (八重洲地下中央口改札).
  • Coming off the Shinkansen or a JR line: either way, it is just past the Yaesu-side gates.
  • Find Tokyo Character Streeton B1 of First Avenue. JUMP SHOP is in it.

The rest of Tokyo Character Street

GO TOKYO's page on Tokyo Station says, "There's no better place to buy merchandise than Tokyo Character Street, located inside First Avenue Tokyo Station." Two of its shops matter to Jump fans, and both are separate from JUMP SHOP. The street's own page describes the ONE PIECE Mugiwara Store as "the biggest official ONE PIECE goods shop ever" (史上最大の『ONE PIECE』公式グッズショップ) and DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO as "the world's first DRAGON BALL store" (世界初となる『DRAGON BALL』のストア). It also lists a Pokémon Store, Detective Conan Plaza and Donguri Kyowakoku, the Studio Ghibli shop, among others.

JUMP SHOP Shibuya at Shibuya PARCO

The street entrance of Shibuya PARCO. JUMP SHOP is on its 6th floor · Photo: ウィ貴公子, CC BY-SA 4.0 via Wikimedia Commons

PARCO's floor guide names the 6th floor CYBERSPACE SHIBUYA and lists nine shops there: Pokémon Center Shibuya, Nintendo TOKYO, JUMP SHOP, THE GUEST CAFE BY PARCO, CAPCOM STORE TOKYO, YEN TOWN MARKET, THE★JOJO WORLD, SEGA STORE TOKYO and the Godzilla Store. That makes it the one JUMP SHOP in Tokyo that shares a floor with both Nintendo and Pokémon.

Because 6F opens at 10:00, ahead of the 11:00 start on most other floors, PARCO has a separate way up in the morning. Its notice points you to a staircase, starred on its map, which opens at 9:30, and the queue runs down it from 6F. Visitors who need a lift, for example with a pushchair or a wheelchair, have two, the Koen-dori side lift and the WEST lift, but neither stops at 6F before 10:00. Moving on from 6F to the rest of the building has to wait too, since its escalators and lifts start going to other floors at about 11:15.

For the walk from Shibuya Station and the queue for the floor's busiest shop, see our Nintendo TOKYO guide. The Pokémon shop next door is one of the stores in our guide to Tokyo's Pokémon Centers.

JUMP SHOP Ikebukuro at POP CULTURE BASE

Ikebukuro PARCO calls its B2F floor POP CULTURE BASE. Its feature article says the floor opened in spring 2026, connected directly to Ikebukuro Station, as a new base for manga, anime and games. Besides JUMP SHOP, it has CAPCOM STORE IKEBUKURO, Chiikawa Land (ちいかわらんど) and a pop-up space called SPOT. The JUMP SHOP page on the PARCO website lists SAKAMOTO DAYS, Kagurabachi and Ichi the Witch among its titles, alongside ONE PIECE and Ao no Hako.

Elsewhere in Ikebukuro, Otome Road and its shops have a guide of their own, and animate's flagship store is among the shops in our comparison of Ikebukuro with Akihabara.

THE JUMP SHOP is a separate shop that Shueisha opened to mark its 100th anniversary in 2026. Its own page describes Jimbocho as "a town of books that creates publishing culture" (出版文化を創出する本の街). It is on the 4th floor of the main Sanseido bookshop, and it has its own website and its own rules.

What it sells

The shop's own pages list notebooks in three colours of senka paper (せんか紙), sticky notes and tote bags; goods made with two shops long loved in Jimbocho, the Chinese restaurant Shinsekai Saikan (新世界菜館) and the Japanese sweets shop Sasama (さゝま); reproduction artwork (複製原画), framed art and posters; and latte-coloured plush toys styled after a coffee shop. Art cards at ¥880 including tax go on sale on Friday 6 November 2026, for DRAGON BALL, ONE PIECE, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen and HUNTER×HUNTER. The FAQ says the shop has goods made for Jimbocho, but that they may also be sold at other shops.

Booking days in November 2026

On most days you can walk in without booking. When a crowd is expected, entry needs a booking ticket in the "Jump NAVI" (ジャンプNAVI) app, which means installing the app and signing up for its free membership. The shop announces booking days on its official X account. Even on days with no booking, staff may ask you to wait, hand out numbered tickets or turn people away.

The list of accepted ID on the booking page is written for Japan residents. Under group A it names a passport, but not one issued on or after 4 February 2020, and an international driving permit. If you plan to go on a booking day, read the shop's own page before you apply.

How many you can buy

The shop updated its limits on 9 October 2026, for visits from 1 November.

Purchase limits from 1 November 2026

  • New goods, first three days: one of each item per person, counting the release day as day one.
  • New goods, from the fourth day: a maximum of three per item.
  • Everything else: three per item per person at most.
  • In total: up to 30 items.
  • Capsule toys: three goes per person, whichever machines you use.
  • At the till: one checkout per person per day. The FAQ asks you to pay for everything together, once per visit.

Paying, photos and the rest of the FAQ

The tills take Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, JCB, American Express, Diners Club and Discover cards; PayPay, au PAY, merpay, J-Coin Pay, d-barai, Rakuten Pay, Alipay+, WeChat Pay and UnionPay QR; transport IC cards, though not PiTaPa; and Rakuten Edy, nanaco, WAON, iD and QUICPay. The capsule toy machines take a shorter list of code payments, including PayPay, Rakuten Pay, d-barai, au PAY, merpay, Bank Pay, WeChat Pay and Alipay, with no credit cards on it. All the shop's random goods are sold as capsule toys.

Before you go

  • Photos: allowed, for your own use only. Selfie sticks, tripods, video and sound recording are not, and photos may be limited when it is crowded.
  • Sanseido's books: paid for separately from THE JUMP SHOP's goods.
  • Toilets: on the same floor, but you cannot take unpaid goods with you.
  • Holds: some items, if you phone the shop, but not popular or purchase-limited ones, and none on booking days.
  • Queuing overnight: not allowed. The shop turns away people who arrive the day before, and people buying to resell.
  • Pets: not allowed.
  • Language: the FAQ has an English version, but the shop does not guarantee its accuracy, and the Japanese text is the one that counts.

The JUMP SHOP app and its points

All five Tokyo stores on JUMP SHOP's list take the JUMP SHOP app. Show the membership card in the app when you pay and you earn points, which you swap for limited novelty gifts (限定ノベルティ).

  • 1point for every ¥100 you spend, counted before tax
  • 50points for a character mini bromide, from 10 designs each month
  • 3,000points for an acrylic plaque, with 8 designs added every six months, up to 16

A purchase of ¥5,000 before tax, for example, earns 50 points, enough for one mini bromide. JUMP SHOP's app page lists where you do not earn points: online, some events and limited-time shops, THE JUMP SHOP in Jimbocho, and Jump Character's Store (ジャンプキャラクターズストア), Shueisha's official online shop.

Tax-free shopping and the 1 November 2026 change

On JUMP SHOP's store list, only two of the Tokyo stores carry the tax-free mark: Tokyo Dome City and Tokyo Station. The other three do not, and the buildings' own pages agree. The store page on the Ikebukuro PARCO website says the shop does not offer tax-free sales, and Shibuya PARCO's tax-free page leaves JUMP SHOP off its list for 6F. The pages we read for THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho say nothing about tax-free, so ask the staff there before you pay.

Japan's tax-free scheme changes on Sunday 1 November 2026. Before then, a tax-free shop takes the consumption tax off the price for visitors. From 1 November, the shop charges the tax as on any other sale. Customs looks at the goods when you fly or sail out of Japan, and only after that is the tax repaid. The new rules, as the Japan Tourism Agency gives them:

How the new refund works

  • Minimum spend: ¥5,000 before tax or more, spent at one shop within the same day.
  • Time limit: customs must check the goods when you depart, at most 90 days after the purchase date.
  • Where the check happens: on a tax-free terminal at the departure airport or seaport, with your passport. Seven airports (Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Chubu, Fukuoka, New Chitose, Naha) also let you use Visit Japan Web instead, over a wi-fi network set up for the procedure in the departure lobby, which covers the area up to security.
  • Before you check in: every item must be with you, so visit the terminal before handing any baggage over.
  • One receipt, all or nothing: customs looks at each purchase receipt as one unit. Should a single item from a receipt be missing, the whole receipt gets no refund.
  • The refund: comes from the tax-free shop itself or a refund company it uses, so check with the shop how it will pay you.

The receipt rule matters at a shop that also sells sweets. If you might eat some of them before you fly, pay for them on a separate receipt from the goods you are taking home tax-free. If any tax-free goods have been eaten or used up before you leave, the agency says to report it at the customs counter rather than use a terminal.

To estimate a refund, use our refund calculator, and the app the scheme relies on is explained on our page about the Visit Japan Web app.

Is there a JUMP SHOP in Akihabara, Shinjuku or at Tokyo Tower?

No. JUMP SHOP's store list, which we read on 19 October 2026, has five Tokyo stores, and none of them is in Akihabara, in Shinjuku or at Tokyo Tower. From Shinjuku, Tokyo Dome City is 15 minutes away on the JR Sobu Line, by GO TOKYO's times. For the anime shops Akihabara does have, our district-by-district comparison is the place to look.

Which is the biggest JUMP SHOP in Tokyo?

None of the official pages we read gives the size of any JUMP SHOP store, so we cannot say which one is the biggest. The "biggest" you will read about at Tokyo Station belongs to a different shop: Tokyo Character Street's page calls the ONE PIECE Mugiwara Store there the biggest official ONE PIECE goods shop ever (史上最大). JUMP SHOP's own store is in the same street.

Holds, stock and other stores

JUMP SHOP's FAQ says the stores do not reserve or hold items, except for goods that are sold as pre-orders. To find out whether another store has something in stock, ask that store directly. THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho runs on its own rules. Its FAQ says some items can be held if you phone the shop, but not popular items or those with a purchase limit, and nothing at all on days that need an entry booking.

Getting to each store

Frequently asked questions

How many JUMP SHOP stores are there in Tokyo?

Five, on JUMP SHOP's own store list: Tokyo Dome City, Tokyo Station, Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi, Shibuya PARCO and Ikebukuro PARCO. That is more than in any other city on the list, which has 16 stores across Japan. THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho, opened by Shueisha for its 100th anniversary, is a sixth shop with its own rules and is not on that list.

Where is JUMP SHOP in Tokyo Station?

On B1 of First Avenue Tokyo Station, in Tokyo Character Street. It is outside the ticket gates on the Yaesu side, so leave through the Yaesu Underground Central gate, or through the Yaesu-side gates if you come off the Shinkansen or a JR train. It is open daily, 10:00 to 20:30.

What floor is JUMP SHOP on at Tokyo Skytree?

4F of Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi, which sits below the tower. It keeps the building's hours, opening at 10:00 and closing at 21:00. The nearest stations are Oshiage (Skytree-mae) on the Hanzomon Line and Tokyo Skytree on the Tobu Skytree Line.

Which JUMP SHOP in Tokyo is tax-free?

Tokyo Dome City and Tokyo Station are the two Tokyo stores with the tax-free mark on JUMP SHOP's list. Ikebukuro's store page says it does not offer tax-free sales, Shibuya PARCO's tax-free page does not list it, and the pages we read for THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho do not mention tax-free. Under the rules that start on 1 November 2026, the till charges the tax and you claim it back at departure, after customs checks the goods.

Do I need a ticket to visit JUMP SHOP Tokyo Dome City?

No. GO TOKYO says there is no charge to enter Tokyo Dome City itself; only some of its facilities charge admission. The store is beside the main entrance of Tokyo Dome City Attractions, so you can walk to it without buying anything for the rides.

What time do JUMP SHOP stores in Tokyo open and close?

Tokyo Station, Solamachi and Shibuya open at 10:00, Tokyo Dome City at 10:30 (10:00 at weekends and holidays), and Ikebukuro at 11:00. Tokyo Dome City closes first, at 19:00, and Tokyo Station at 20:30. Solamachi, Shibuya and Ikebukuro stay open until 21:00. Shibuya's 6F opens at 10:00, an hour before most of the building.

Is the JUMP SHOP in Shibuya next to Nintendo TOKYO?

Yes. JUMP SHOP, Pokémon Center Shibuya and Nintendo TOKYO share Shibuya PARCO's 6F, which the floor guide calls CYBERSPACE SHIBUYA, with six other shops.

Is booking needed for THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho?

Only on busy days. On most days you can walk in. On the days the shop names, entry needs a booking made in the Jump NAVI app. For November, a lottery came first, and first come, first served bookings open on Friday 30 October for any places left. The days announced so far for November 2026 are Friday 6 and Friday 20 November, and the shop says more may be added.

Can I earn JUMP SHOP app points at THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho?

No. JUMP SHOP's app page lists THE JUMP SHOP among the places that do not give points, and THE JUMP SHOP's own FAQ says the app cannot be used there. A separate notice adds that the shop does not take part in the fairs run at JUMP SHOP stores.

Can JUMP SHOP hold or reserve an item for me?

The five JUMP SHOP stores do not, apart from goods sold as pre-orders, and the FAQ says to check with another store yourself if you want to know whether it has something. THE JUMP SHOP Jimbocho can hold some items if you phone the shop, but not popular items or those with a purchase limit, and nothing on days that need an entry booking.
